From the moment we set off, the kids were excited, taking turns helping “drive” the boat and pointing out sea lions and paddle boarders along the way. Their laughter was completely natural, and those candid smiles were a dream to capture. The parents leaned back, enjoying the ride, while I photographed everything from wide shots of the family against the harbor to intimate moments of them snuggled together on the boat.
As the afternoon light turned golden, the harbor looked like it was glowing. We let the boat drift while I captured relaxed portraits with the family framed by Newport’s iconic waterfront homes and sailboats. Toward the end, we even hopped off near a quiet dock for a few extra portraits right at the water’s edge, adding variety and texture to the gallery.
